Dr. Gang Li
Dr. Gang Li is a board-certified, Harvard-trained anesthesiologist and Stanford-trained interventional Pain Medicine specialist. He completed his Anesthesiology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School in 2010 and a fellowship in Multidisciplinary Pain Management at Stanford University School of Medicine in 2011. Before the specialty training, he graduated from Peking Union Medical College in Beijing, China, the most prestigious medical school in China, with an M.D. degree in 1997. Dr. Li received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Florida for his study in neuropharmacology of Aging and metabolic disorders in 2003. Dr. Li is the co-founder of the Pain and Injury Institute. He serves as adjunct clinical faculty at Stanford University Pain Management Center, teaching Stanford residents and fellows cutting-edge pain management knowledge and techniques. He has published many articles in prestigious peer-reviewed international medical journals on topics ranging from pain management, regenerative medicine, and healthcare risk stratification to molecular mechanisms and pharmacologic intervention for aging, obesity, and diabetes. Dr. Li is a cofounder, Past President, and President Emeritus of the Society of Chinese American Physician Entrepreneurs (SCAPE), the largest organization of American physicians of Chinese origin with over 800 lifetime physician members. On September 20, 2020, Dr. Li was elected Vice President of the World Association of Chinese Doctors, a preeminent international academic, nonprofit organization of medical doctors of Chinese origin from 16 countries and regions with over 20,000 physician members, for a three-year term. He was re-elected to serve another three-year term in 2023. Dr. Li is also a co-founder of Hong Kong International Precision Medicine Co. Limited, established in 2024 and dedicated to developing precision medicine and AI medical technology to advance global healthcare initiatives with cutting-edge medical science and technologies from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and North America.
