Dr. Healthy Desai

Dr. Healthy Desai is an orthopedic hand surgeon with specialized training in hand and upper extremity surgery. Dr. Desai is a native of Mumbai, India. After having lived and worked in India, Australia and USA, Dr. Healthy’s orthopedic experience and journey has been world class in a literal sense. After completing his Bachelor in Medicine & Surgery with a gold medal at the Grant Medical College in India, he completed his post graduate studies in Orthopedic Surgery at the young age of 28. Dr. Healthy has trained and practiced at highly reputed and well established hospitals in USA, Australia and India such as: New York University Hospital of Joint Diseases University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Texas Scottish Rite and Childrens’ Hospital Long Beach Memorial Hospital Royal Melbourne Hospital Epworth Hospital Monash Medical Center The Northern Hospital Bombay Hospital St. George Hospital Sir J. J. Group of Hospitals Dr. Healthy has authored numerous book chapters and peer review journal articles and has presented at several national and international conferences. Dr. Desai also serves as an instructor for surgical courses for Arthroscopy association of north America. he serves as an advisor for various orthopedic product and implant development. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeon. Dr. Desai is Editor for prestigious “International Journal of Orthopedic Surgery” and “Journal of Medical Thesis”. Dr. Desai is also Chief Reviewer for “Journal of Orthopedic Case Reports” Dr. Desai has extensive experience caring for sports teams and working with athletes. He has worked with a wide variety of athletes during his training In his spare time, Dr. Healthy loves to travel & explore, SCUBA dive, play cricket for the Southern California Cricket League and dreams of riding horses. He loves extreme sports and has bungee jumped off a 111 meters high bridge at the Victoria Falls, sky dived in Australia and rafted through the white waters of Zambezi River.
