Dr. Joe Martin brings more than 36 years of leadership, clinical expertise, and performance-based rehabilitation experience to the Injury Institute provider network. A former United States Navy SEAL, Dr. Martin served six years in one of the world’s most elite military units, where he developed a deep understanding of physical resilience, injury prevention, and recovery from high-impact injuries. This foundation naturally led him to pursue a career in chiropractic care and functional fitness. Dr. Martin’s undergraduate education, from Temple University in Philadelphia, was in exercise physiology. Dr. Martin then went on to receive his Doctor of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College West. He began his professional career as a faculty doctor and lecturer, training future chiropractors while developing a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to injury care and rehabilitation. Dr. Martin has extensive experience treating patients involved in auto accidents and personal injury cases, with a strong focus on accurate diagnosis, thorough documentation, and functional recovery. He works closely with attorneys, case managers, and medical providers to ensure patients receive coordinated care designed to restore mobility, reduce pain, and support successful case outcomes. In addition, Dr. Martin has significant experience working with elderly and disabled populations, emphasizing safe, individualized treatment plans that improve quality of life, balance, mobility, and independence. His background working with Wounded Warriors and individuals recovering from complex injuries has further shaped his compassionate and results-driven approach to care. Throughout his career, Dr. Martin has owned and operated successful practices and has lectured nationally and internationally on functional fitness, injury prevention, and performance-based rehabilitation. Known for combining clinical expertise with real-world performance insight, Dr. Martin specializes in helping patients recover from injury, rebuild strength, and return to optimal function.
