Pain Management

Dr. Akash Bajaj, MD

Dr. Bajaj understands firsthand the challenges of being overweight and the often-overlooked psychological effects that come with it, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and a general sense of suffering. He has also experienced the physical consequences, such as fatigue, pain, poor cardiovascular health, low energy, and impaired cognition. Having been through this journey himself, he recognizes the frustration that many face. However, he also knows that small but meaningful changes, when approached with a comprehensive perspective, can do more than just improve physical and psychological well-being — they can transform lives. Dr. Bajaj is committed to helping individuals finally achieve the version of themselves they have long pursued, without the endless cycle of diets and fads that offer little more than disappointment and financial strain. Dr. Bajaj completed his undergraduate studies at UCSD, graduating summa cum laude and is a member of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa & Golden Key Honor societies. He then went on to simultaneously earn his M.D. and a Master’s degree in Public Health (M.P.H.) from the New York Medical College. He then served a residency in Anesthesiology at UCLA Medical Center. While at UCLA, he pioneered the development of audio and visual distractions during O.R. Anesthesia as a novel adjunct to administering Anesthesia, and alleviating acute painful states. Choosing then to sub-specialize in pain medicine, he completed an Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at the prestigious University of California, San Francisco, selected as one of only five fellows, graduating in 2006. His lectures have been heard nationally on CBS Radio, as well as at UCLA and UCSF. Dr. Bajaj is triple board-certified in Anesthesia and Pain Management and a diplomate of the American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine. As a physician and leader in longevity medicine, his goal is to optimize your hormonal balance, metabolic function, cognitive health, and musculoskeletal integrity, ensuring you feel your best at every stage of life.
